Where you charge your devices matters!

Keep phones, tablets, laptops, and other rechargeable devices on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or bare floor while charging.

Avoid charging on beds, couches, blankets, or other soft surfaces that can trap heat.

Once your device reaches a full charge, make it a habit to unplug it. ⚡

Leaving devices connected to chargers longer than needed can contribute to heat buildup. A simple unplug can be an easy step toward safer charging habits.

E-bikes, scooters, power tools, and other larger rechargeable items need a safe place to charge. ⚡

When possible, charge these items outdoors and away from anything that can burn. Always make sure charging equipment and devices do not block doors, hallways, or other exits.

🔥 Fire Safety Tip 5: Feels Hot? Stop Using It. 🔥

Pay attention to the warning signs when using rechargeable devices. ⚡

If a device feels unusually hot, starts to swell, smells strange, leaks, smokes, or makes popping or hissing sounds, stop using it immediately and move away from the device.

🚨 Unusual heat or changes can be signs of a battery problem. Don’t ignore the warning signs!
